Johan obtained his medical degree from the University of Ghent in 1988 and since then has worked in one single pharma company, which transformed gradually by mergers and acquisitions from a  small to midsized and finally truly global specialty care pharmaceutical company.  Johan has gone successfully through these numerous mergers and restructurations.  He held a position of Medical Director in the country leadership team, reporting to the local General Manager or to the EU regional function during an uninterrupted period of 25+ years and led medical teams from 2 to 20+ headcounts. He successfully delivered and overperformed year by year in different types of growing and ever transforming organisations and a variety of cultures (investor owned Belgian and Scandinavian, stock listed Japanese).
